TORRANCE, CA– Palos Verdes Peninsula (PVP) Watch, an organization actively involved in politics and local affairs in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, has announced their support for former Torrance Mayor and local businessman Frank Scotto in his race for State Assembly.
In a statement regarding the upcoming November election, the PVP Watch Editorial Committee stated, “We believe Mr. Scotto will better serve Peninsula interests of smaller government and reducing taxes than his opponent Al Muratsuchi who has been a consistent supporter of tax increases.”
Scotto has been working on behalf of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and greater South Bay community of Los Angeles County his entire life. After returning from the Army where he served coordinating troop deployments during Vietnam, Scotto founded Frank Scotto Towing, a local company which he operated for over forty years. In 2000, Scotto was elected to the Torrance City Council and was later elected Mayor. While serving in office, Scotto was a champion for community improvements, fiscal responsibility and low taxes.
Scotto lives in Torrance with his wife Cynthia. He is running for State Assembly in the 66th Assembly District, which encompasses much of the South Bay of Los Angeles.
