TORRANCE, CA – Nils Nehrenheim, a member of the Redondo Beach City Council, has endorsed Frank Scotto in his bid for the 66th Assembly District.

When announcing his endorsement of Scotto, Councilman Nehrenheim stated, Frank has a long record of standing up for South Bay families and communities. He fought against the Del Amo high-density residential proposal. Being a former local mayor, he understands the necessity of local control for our cities against Sacramento career politicians who don’t have their fingers on the pulse of local issues. Our beach cities will have a friend to protect our beaches, harbors, and open space such as the AES power plant. He is the representative that we can elect and rely on for proactive leadership.”

Scotto began his career serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After concluding his military service, Scotto opened his first small business in Torrance and worked his way up to owning Frank Scotto Towing, a local business employing almost 100 employees at its peak. In 2000, Scotto was first elected to the Torrance City Council, where he served for the next 14 years.

Scotto is running for State Assembly to work towards greater public safety in the South Bay, oppose tax hikes like the recently passed gas tax and fight for local control.

Frank Scotto is the former Mayor of Torrance. He is running for State Assembly in the 66th Assembly District, which encompasses much of the South Bay of Los Angeles.
